Hand Made Soap

Our soaps are made with all food grade vegetable oils, each scent starting with the same basic recipe and additional ingredients are added at the time of making each different soap. Our soap starts with oils purchased from the food industry and consist of coconut, palm, olive, sunflower seed, castor bean and shea butter. Each ingredient is chosen for its qualities in the finished soap. Our essential oil soaps are made with the finest essential oils available and because not all scents are available in essential oils, we also use fragrance oils. Essential oils are extracted from plants found in nature. Not everything in nature allows for extraction of oils though, so we need to use man made oils to satisfy the preferences of our customers. Fragrance oils are man-made in a laboratory of chemicals also created by man. Sometimes our fragrance oils are partially essential oil. We choose only high quality fragrance oils that are made specifically for the skin and personal care industry, never skimping on quality or price. Colorants are selected from either skin safe oxides, ultra marines, or dried and powdered vegetable and herbs. Occasionally we need a color that is not provided by nature and use Food, Drug and Cosmetic safe man-made colors called F,D&C. When using a natural colorant like oxides, ultra marines and food powders, a large quantity, upwards of a tablespoon must be used to acheive the results our customers love. On the other hand F,D&C colorants are used by the smidgen, they are considered dyes and a tiny bit will do in our standard 40 lb batch.
